Robert R. Barna (April 22, 1942 - Feb. 23, 1998).

SOUTH BEND - Robert R. Barna, 55, of North Scott Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, in his residence.

He was born on April 22, 1942, in South Bend, to Ruth (Rose) and Charles Barna, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father in 1983; and by a brother, Charles Barna, Jr., who died in 1970.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Barna of South Bend; two daughters, Christina Nehr and Kelly Foster, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Robert Barna of South Bend; one grandchild; and by a brother, Raymond Barna of Vandalia, Mich.

Mr. Barna was retired from Rockwell Automation/Dodge in Mishawaka, Ind., and he was a former member of the Izaak Walton League.

There will be no services or visitation for Mr. Barna. Cremation will take place.The Welsheimer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
