Brother Lambert Barbier CSC, 72, died Wednesday in Dujarie Hall at the University of Notre Dame. He was born July 5, 1891 in Avon, Ohio, and professed his final vows as a Holy Cross Brother in 1922. He had served as steward in various community house, including those in Rolling Prairie, Ind.; Watertown, Wis.; Austin, Tex.; and Dujarie Hall. He served as an officer  of the general administration from 1926 to 1938.

The Office of the Dead will be sung at Sacred Heart Church at Notre Dame at 5 p.m. Friday. The funeral mass will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with burial in the community cemetery at Notre Dame.
