MISHAWAKA - Richard Banfield Barber Sr., 82, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, Feb. 7th, in Las Vegas, NV. He was the son of Edith and Fred Barber and was born on Nov. 23, 1927. In Mishawaka, on March 6, 1948, he married Marilyn Wilson. Richard was preceded in death by his three brothers, Carroll, John and Clayton. He also has sister, Waneta Gurley, who lives in Las Vegas. Beside his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Richard J. and Gary; his daughter, Karen Sympson; three granddaughters, a grandson and seven great-grandchildren. He had retired from Dodge Mfg. Rockwell in Mishawaka, IN. He and his wife moved to Las Vegas in March 1993 to be with their family. No services are planned.
