MISHAWAKA - Rocco Barbaro, 73, of 518 E. Grove Street, died Sunday afternoon in Dina’s Nursing Home after an illness of two months. He was born in Plati, Italy. He had lived in Mishawaka for 16 years, coming from Niles, Mich. He married Rosaria Mittiga in Plati in 1913. She died in November of 1944. He was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Frank of Elkhart, and Philip of Los Angeles; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Ferraro of South Bend, Mrs. Anthony Furore, with whom he lived, and Mrs. Leslie Donofrio of Monrovia, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Monoca’s Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Tuesday in the chapel.
