Margaret C. Banner, 87, of Inwood Road, North Liberty, Ind., died at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, July 16, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind. Mrs. Banner was born on Sept. 16, 1911, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the Instamatic Corporation, Elkhart, Ind.

She was married in 1945 as Margaret C. DeMott (Cowan) to George Banner, Sr., who died on Aug. 16, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a son and two brothers, Ray and Ace DeMott. She is survived by three sons, George Banner, Jr., of Niles, Mich., Robert Cowan of Las Vegas, Nev., and William Cowan of Mishawaka, Ind.; and by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Monday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind.
