Kenneth E. Banker

Kenneth E. Banker, 76, of West Broadway, Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly at 2:05 a.m. in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, on Sunday, Feb. 18.
Kenneth was born on Dec. 4, 1924, in South Bend to the late William Banker and his mother Annette Kallies Banker LuBahn of South Bend, who survives.
On Dec. 11, 1948, in South Bend, Kenneth married the former Ruth A. Brooker. She survives with a daughter, LuAnn Jasinski of Mishawaka; two sons, Keith (Kathy) Banker of Leesburg, Ind., and Donald Banker of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Lee) Lippert, Jennifer (Brad) Sanders, Chad Banker and Jayme (Scott) Ellison; and six great-grandchildren, Dustin and Kelsey Lippert, Jordan Jasinski and Skyler, Jamison and Brad K. Sanders.
Kenneth was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church in Mishawaka. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 161 in Mishawaka. He had retired from NIPSCO after 25 plus years of service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21 in the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Ingle officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
