Monty Drew Banghart

Monty Drew Banghart, 40, residing on Queensboro Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Friday morning, July 23, in his home. Mr. Banghart had been employed at Scott Brass, Inc., in Mishawaka for the past six years. He was born on April 12, 1959, in South Bend, Ind., and had been a lifelong area resident. Monty's father, George Dale Banghart, preceded him in death.

On May 5, 1992, in Mishawaka, Monty married Betty J. Andersen, who survives. He is also survived by a step-daughter, Jennifer Tilman of Mishawaka; a stepson, Ray Phillips of Mishawaka; his mother, Sarah E. Pauley of Osceola, Ind.; a sister, Cathy Cay Banghart of Mishawaka; a brother, Randy Dale Banghart of Mishawaka; a stepsister, Annmarie Zielinski of Fishers, Ind.; paternal grandmother, Velva Banghart of Mishawaka; and by his paternal grandfather, John Frederick of Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, in the New Life Baptist Church, 11593 McKinley Highway East, Osceola. Rev. Michael Cramer, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 26, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 1109 Lincoln Way West, Osceola, and from one hour prior to services in the church on Tuesday.
