Tommie Ann Baney, 45, of West 6th
Street in Mishawaka, passed away following a brief illness at
2:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional
Medical Center of South Bend. Tommie was born February 6, 1961,
in South Bend, Indiana, to Thomas and Evelyn (Pipke) Lupa.
On September 24, 1983, she married Mr.
Dwight Baney in Mishawaka. Surviving are her husband, Dwight
Baney of Mishawaka; her mother, Evelyn Lupa of South Bend; a son,
Steven Baney of Mishawaka; and four daughters, Melony (Clinton) Kozlowski,
Amanda (Shawn) Singleton, Hazel Baney and Stephanie Baney,
all of Mishawaka. Surviving as well are her sister, Barb
(Charles) Lily, and her brother, Steven (Cheryl) Lupa,
both of South Bend. Also surviving is her granddaughter, Abigail
Singleton.
There will be no services or visitation.
Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Tommie was a
1979 graduate of Penn High School. She was employed by Meijer on
Grape Road in Mishawaka in the customer service department, and
most recently as an assembler for Power Components in Mishawaka.
She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, playing the guitar,
and was an avid NASCAR fan. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the family.
