Ernestine Banes

Ernestine Banes, 71, of Aberdeen Drive,
South Bend, passed away in her home on Friday August 17.
Mrs. Banes was born on July 19, 1930, in
Mishawaka, as the daughter of the late Homer M. and Rose (Lowrey)
Barron.
On March 13, 1954, in the First United
Methodist Church, Mishawaka, Ernestine married Ralph Banes, who
preceded her in death on January 10, 1998. Now they are together
again. She was also preceded by a cousin, Elenora M. Denslow-Kiel
on June 14, 2001. Ernestine is survived by three god-children,
Denise (Chip) Dimas of Mishawaka, William F. (Gina) Graves
Jr. of Crown Point, IN, and Edward Graves of Mishawaka; two
nieces, Marcia (John) Newby and Teresa (Frank) Parks
of Marion, IN; and her very good friend, William F. (Lorretta)
Graves Sr.
Ernestine worked for 30 years in the office
of Wheelabrator before retiring in 1983. She was a member of the
Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine P.W.H.P. Julianna Club.
Friends may call on Sunday August 19 from 2
p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street,
Mishawaka. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday August 20
in Hahn Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Baker will officiate.
