Alexander J. Balough
Alexander J. Balough, 74, of 1102 Canterbury Drive, died at 8:42 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was retired from A. M. General Corp. He was born on March 1, 1909, in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident. On July 4, 1936, in South Bend, he married the former Henrietta Michalak, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Walter of Culver and Mrs. Patricia Badur of South Bend; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, a great grandchild and two brothers, Rudolph and James, both of South Bend.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen J. Sedlock, CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be held at 8.
