Cynthia L. Balentine, 47, of East Lowell Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on the morning of Wednesday, June 2, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Cynthia was born on Dec. 13, 1956, in Mishawaka, to Burlon R. and Earlene (Fairres) Balentine. Cynthia was employed for 20 years at Burcliff Industries. She attended the Granger Community Church.

Cynthia is survived by her mother, Earlene Funkhouser of Mishawaka; her paternal grandparents, Howard and Cordella Balentine; one brother, Russell (Jennifer) Funkhouser of South Bend; and by two sisters, Sherry (Keith) Harvey of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and Lisa Funkhouser of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her father, Burlon Balentine, and one brother, Randall Balentine.

Friends may call two hours prior to services, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, June 4, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in the funeral chapel, with Pastor Robert Geans officiating. Burial is to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
