Clara Ruth Balentine, 65, of Division Street, Mishawaka, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, January 9, at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. She was born March 4, 1939, in Waterloo, Alabama, to Anderson and Odell (Dean) Holloway, who preceded her in death.

She married David Leon Balentine, who also preceded her in death June 27, 2000. She is survived by four children, David Balentine of Osceola, Terry Balentine and Scott Balentine, both of Mishawaka, and Doris Balentine of Mesa, Arizona; her sisters and brothers, Ann Balentine of South Bend, Esther Witt, Jean Adams, Fay Woods and Lois Smith, all of Florence, Alabama, Phil Holloway, Noah Holloway, Paul Holloway and David Lee Holloway, all of Alabama.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends were received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
