Josephine Baldoni

June 10, 1917 - April 6, 1999

Josephine ''Jo'' Baldoni, 81, of Tanglewood Lane, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of West 11th Street, Mishawaka, passed away after an illness at 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, in Foun-tainview Place, Mishawaka.

Josephine was born on June 10, 1917, in South Bend, Ind., as the daughter of the late Joseph and Augusta (De Schepper) Joss. In May 1937, as the former Josephine Joos in Crown Point, Ind., she married Edward Baldoni, who preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a son, Romolo John Baldoni on Dec. 24, 1956; and by a brother, Frank Joss.

Josephine is survived by a daughter, Clarice (Joseph) Ruppe; and a son, Anthony ''Tony'' (Sharon) Baldoni, both of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Louise Schiebelhut, Bina Garatoni and Angeline Marcantini, all of Mishawaka. Josephine is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with her grandchildren who will cherish her memory and miss her dearly.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A wake prayer service will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 9, in the funeral home, with Rev. James Shafer, pastor of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
