Carla Baldoni

Carolyn ''Carla'' Baldoni, 67, of South Spring Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 5:10 a.m. on Friday, March 19, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka.

Carla was born on Oct. 13, 1931, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of the late Romolo and Antonia (Savadori) Baldoni. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Diva Baldini on Dec. 5, 1989; and by a brother, Edward Baldoni on Nov. 30, 1995.

Carla is survived by three sisters, Louise Schiebelhut, Bina Garatoni and Angeline Mercantini, all of Mishawaka; and by a sister-in-law, Josephine Baldoni of Mishawaka. Carla is also survived by several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory and miss her dearly.

Ms. Baldoni was employed by the Castleman Heating and Oil Company in Mishawaka, the C.E. Lee Company in South Bend, Ind., and the Portage Township Assessor's Office. Carla retired in 1996 from the County Auditor's office. She was also a member of the St. Joseph County Democratic Women's Association, Mishawaka Penn Democratic Women, P.N.A. #83, and was a member of the American Diabetes Association.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today, March 21, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A wake prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 22, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
