MISHAWAKA - Elizabeth Ann Baker, 78, of Capital Avenue,
Mishawaka (formerly of Mayflower Road) passed away at 12:07 a.m.
Wednesday at Memorial Hospital South Bend, following an illness.
She was born October 15, 1929, in Haddonfield, New Jersey to
Charles and Ethel (Clevenger) Taylor who both
preceded her in death. On May 1, 1946, in Jackson, Michigan, she
married James F. Baker Jr. He died September 27, 1990. Surviving
is her long-time companion, Al Tomazewski and his family;
along with Elizabeth's children, Anna Marie (Joe) Yoder of
Bristol, Indiana, Michael James (Marlen) Baker of Mishawaka,
William Norman (Chris) Baker of South Bend, Linda Marion (Greg) Wagoner
of Osceola, Susan Ethel Hendrichs of Mishawaka and Julie
Lee (Jon) Nicodemus of Mishawaka. Also surviving are 16
grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by
her brother, William Taylor of Sarasota, Florida; three sisters,
Mary Lou Weiss of Beverly Shores, New Jersey, Dorothy Blottenburger
of Vincentown, Florida and Virginia Schmick of Hayne,
Florida. She was preceded in death by James F. Baker Jr. and
Charles Isaac Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday at Bubb Funeral Chapel, where friends will be received
from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00. Entombment will
follow the services at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. The family
has requested that memorial contributions be made to the
Alzheimer's Association.
