MISHAWAKA - Martha E. Bailey, 83, of Victoria Street, died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Mrs. Bailey retired from Uniroyal Inc. in 1974 after 34 years of service. She was born July 15, 1912, in Lewisburg, Pa., and had resided in this area since 1931, coming from Pennsylvania.
On May 2, 1930, in Williamsport, Pa., as Martha E. Vonada, she married Robert E. Bailey Sr. He died Jan. 8, 1970. Surviving are a son, Robert E. ''Bud'' Jr. of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Mishawaka Business and Professional Women, and Osceola Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Pa. There will be no visitation. Hahn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Mishawaka Res.

Cremation has taken place. Burial was in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Pa. Friends may call following services in the church parlor. Hahn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
