5, 1926 - Aug. 24, 2010SOUTH BEND - Mary J. "Mitzi" Kolber Bahrke, 83, passed away at 6:26 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, in Memorial Hospital. Mary was born on December 5, 1926, in South Bend, to the late John and Victoria (Grochowski) Cichocki. She was also preceded in death by her former husbands, Everett Bahrke and Ted Kolber; son, Mark Kolber; sister, Lillian Ciesiolka; and brother, Bob Cichocki. Mary is survived by her daughter, Jan (Larry) Lekarczyk; son, Kevin (Deb) Kolber, all of South Bend; grandchildren, Craig and Danny Lekarczyk, Nick and Kory Kolber; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Sydnee and Lindsay Lekarczyk. Mary enjoyed old TV shows, game shows, and was a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show. She was in a bowling league in her younger years. She ran the coffee shop at the airport for 10 years in the 1970s. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today, August 26, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Miller's Merry Manor, 220 E. Dunn Road, New Carlisle, IN 46552.
