Lorraine M. "Bobo" Bagarus,
75, of Grandview Street, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb.
12, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bagarus
retired from St. Mary's College where she was employed for 17
years. She was born on Aug. 27, 1927, in South Bend, Ind., to
Stanley and Mary Moskwinski. Lorraine was preceded in
death by her parents, and by a son-in-law, Ronald Lewandowski.
On Feb. 17, 1947, in South Bend, as Lorraine
Moskwinski, she married Julius "Footy" Bagarus, who
survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Carol Ann
(Neil) Huffine and Diane Lewandowski, both of South Bend,
and Linda (Al) Fassler of Granger, Ind.; a son, James
Bagarus of Mishawaka, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Tony)
Van Overberghe, Shawn Peters, Kevin (Julie)
Lewandowski, Nick Lewandowski, Cory Bagarus, Brock (Ann) Bagarus,
Andrea Fassler and Jenny Fassler; 10 great-grandchildren,
Samantha Peters, Dena Peters, Chad Van Overberghe, Brittany Van
Overberghe, Kaleb Lewandowski, Ashley Bagarus, James Bagarus,
Alexis Bagarus, Meriah Jordan Bagarus and Tyler Parmelle;
and by a brother, Ronald (Mary Lou) Moskwinski of Tennessee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in Our Lady of
Hungary Church. Cremation will follow. Family and friends may
call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S.
Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society.
