Mishawaka - Mrs. Helen Badagnani, 67 of 212 W. 11th, died at 10:45 p.m. Monday in her home following an extended illness.
She was born in Chicago on April 15, 1910, and moved to Mishawaka from that city in 1929. She retired from Uniroyal, Inc, in 1972 after 37 years of employment.
As Helen Melwak she married Vincent G. Badagnani in Chicago on June 29, 1939. He died in 1967.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis OKeefe of Jackson, Tenn., and Mrs James Deignan of Omaha, Neb.; a son David Badagnani of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Fred Melwak of Chicago, and her mother Mrs. Marie Melwak of Chicago.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev Robert Hoevel, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Badagnani was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Rosary Society, the Anita Garibaldi Auxiliary and the Uniroyal Retirees Club.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church or the American Cancer Society.
