Norman L. Bachman, 83, of Ivy Street,
South Bend, passed away Thursday November 14 at Hospice Center of
St. Joseph County, South Bend, IN. Norman was born in Eureka,
Illinois, on April 27, 1919 to the late Alvin and Martha (Schook)
Bachman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday,
November 18, 2002, with visitation one hour prior to services at
Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, Niles, Michigan, with Rev. Jeff
Nixa, Hospice of St. Joseph County Chaplain, will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made in Norman's name to Hospice of St. Joseph
County. Mission Hills Memorial Chapel- Niles/Legacy Family
Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
He married Velma Ulrich on August 15,
1945, in Meadows, Illinois. She survives. He is also survived by
two daughters, Sharon (David) Rhoutsong of Battle Creek
and Susan Bachman of South Bend; one son-in-law, John Tolliver of
Dowagiac. Three grandchildren, William Rhoutsong of Battle Creek,
Barbara (Bob) Antus of South Bend, Julia Dazell of
Dowagiac; two great-grandchildren, Katelynn Dazell and
Austin Cook, both of Dowagiac. Norman went to be with his
sister, Dorothy Litwiller who passed away in 1997 and
great grandson, Brandon Cook who passed away in 1992.
