SOUTH BEND - Raymond C. Babicz, 75, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Monday, June 2nd, in the Saint Joseph Care Center, South Bend. Raymond was born on March 5, 1933, in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Clara (Leda) Babicz.

On June 8, 1957, he married Margaret Piechocki, who survives along with their two sons, Bryan and Michael Babicz, and by his sister, Rita (Ervin) Luczkowski of South Bend. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Raymond graduated from Washington High School. He honorably served in the United State Army during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion 357 and VFW Post 9820. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and was known as "Uncle Ray" to all his friends.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 6th, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
