MISHAWAKA - Mildred S. (Wolf) Avery, 71, of 2003 W. Byrkit St., died at 5:40 p.m. Friday in Elkhart General Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Avery was born Dec. 12, 1922, in North Liberty.

On Aug. 31, 1940, in Mishawaka, as Mildred S. Wolf, she married Richard C. Avery. He survives with two daughters, Sharon Maxwell of Blackville, S.C., and Sandra Weiss of Bradenton, Fla.; a son, David O. of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Wallace of South Bend and Mabel Wordinger of Coloma.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
