Sister M. Austin Regina, CSC

April 22, 1897 – June 26, 1974

Sister M. Austin Regina, CSC, 77, died at 9:40am today in St Mary’s Convent after a month’s illness.  She had taught in Holy Cross schools in Utah, California, Washington DC, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

She was born April 22, 1897, in Kensington MD, as Carrie Ellen Austin, she entered the Holy Cross order January 6, 1922.  Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Earl S. Carlin of Bethesda MD.

Friends may call after noon Thursday at St Mary’s Convent.  Services will be at 10am Friday at the Church of Loretto, St Mary’s College, Notre Dame.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery there.  A wake service will be held at 7:15pm Thursday in the Church of Loretto.
