Mishawaka Leo Artusi, 69, of Geyer Ave., who was in the restaurant business in this area for about 15 years before retiring four years ago, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of six months.
He was born in Cesena, Italy, and moved here 46 years ago from Minnesota. He operated a restaurant in River Park before moving the business to Wyatt.
He married Adele Conti in 1912 in Bazel, Switzerland. Besides his wodow he is survived by five sons, Edward, Guido, Libero and Raymond, all of Mishawaka and Rene of Wyatt; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Young and Mrs. Louise Miller, both of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Melvin Cree, of New Haven, Ind,; a brother Enrico Artusi of Mishawaka; a sister, Mrs. Rosina Bobbi of Switzerland; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the DeVos Chapel after 6 p.m. today. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with burial in Fairview Cemetery. He was a member of the DeAmicis Club.
