Mishawaka - An electrocution accident claimed the life of Jerry L. Artusi, 21, of 542 W. 11th St., about 10 a.m. Monday at 3rd St. and Oakley. He became a victim when a city owned boom truck came in contact with an overhead power line at that site, which sent a charge of electricity through the body of Artusi, who was leaning against the truck when the mishap occurred.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals funeral home where funeral arrangements are being completed.
The victim was born in Mishawaka July 24, 1947 and had lived his lifetime here. He was a senior at Indiana University, Bloomington. Mr. Artusi graduated from St. Joseph High School, South Bend, in 1965 and was a member of St. Joseph Church and Beta Gamma Sigma fraternity at I.U
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Libero Artusi; a brother, Steven L. Artusi, at home; the maternal grandfather, Alfons Nieuwlandt, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Adele Artusi, both of Mishawaka.
The Mishawaka Firemens Auxiliary will conduct a pryer service for the deceased at 7 p.m. today at the funeral homes.

Funeral services for Jerry L. Artusi, 21, of 524 W. 11th St., who died Monday, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, officiating. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home where friends may call. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
