SOUTH BEND - Sally B.E. Morrow-Arnold, 65, of Springfield, MA,
formerly of South Bend, IN, departed this life on March 25, 2010,
at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Sally was born
October 18, 1944, to the union of Lewis and Dora Morrow. At an
early age, Sally confessed her love of Jesus Christ and was a
former member of the First A.M.E. Zion Church, South Bend. She
was currently a member of St. John Congregational Church in
Springfield, MA, where she was active in several ministries
including the Women of Excellence Choir, the Seasoned Saints
Ministry and the Food Pantry. A very civic-minded individual, she
was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars, Suez Temple Drum
Corps, the freedom Choir, and the Women's Bowling Association.
Sally was formerly employed by Massachusetts Mutual Life
Insurance Co. where she retired after 15 years of service. Coming
from South Bend, she was united in marriage in 1965 to William E.
Arnold Jr. Her memories will be cherished by her loving husband,
William E. Arnold Jr. of 44 years; and her son, Jason (Awilda)
Arnold; her mother, Dora Morrow of Springfield, MA; six
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also to cherish her
memories are six sisters, Mary (Arthur) Shurn, Holyoke, MA,
Yvonne (Joseph) Mitchell and Beatrice Morrow of Springfield, MA,
Lu Ella Webster, Michelle (Darryl) Price of South Bend and
Josephine (James) Seegars of Savannah, GA. Eight brothers, John
(Bettie) Morrow, Country Club Hills, IL, Tommie (Terri) Morrow of
Springfield, MA, Jimmie (Hadat) Morrow, Louisville, KY, Stephen
Morrow, South Bend, IN, Gordon Morrow, Indianapolis, IN, Joseph
Morrow, Toledo, OH, Rome (Cynthia) Morrow, Greer, SC, and Timothy
(Anita) Morrow, Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by her son,
William E. Arnold III, and her father, Lewis F. Morrow. Memorial
services were held on April 8, 2010, in Springfield,
Massachusetts. The family request donations be made to the Breast
Cancer Society, National Headquarters, 6859 E. Rembrandt
Ave., Suite 128, Mesa, AZ 85212; or to the Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation, No. Central CT/ Western MA Chapter, 20
Batterson Park Road, 3rd Floor, Farmington, CT 06032. Attn:
"Team Big Will." Services were entrusted to Harrell
Funeral Home, Springfield, MA.
