Michael M. Arnold, 52, of Mishawaka,
Ind., passed away after an extended illness on Dec. 28, 2000 in
Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind. Mr. Arnold was born on Feb.
8, 1948 in South Bend, Ind. to Marvin and Lorraine (Kohr)
Arnold. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his
brother, James Arnold of South Bend; and by two nephews, Jeffrey
and David Arnold.
Mr. Arnold was a graduate of Washington High
School in South Bend, and Ivy Tech College in South Bend. Michael
served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam where he
earned a meritorious unit commendation medal, and a service medal
with two bronze stars. He was honorably discharged in 1970. Mr.
Arnold worked for Lend Lease Trucks Inc. in South Bend as a
diesel mechanic for many years. Memberships include the Veterans
of Foreign Wars, the American Legion Post #161, and the Disabled
American Veterans Post #19.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Services will be conducted by Rev. Adolph Lacy on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001 at 2 p.m. in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. A military service will be held at the funeral home prior to interment. Memorial donations in Mr. Arnold's name may go to the American Diabetes Association.
