Tommy W. Arnett, 61, residing on Erie
Street, Osceola, Ind., passed away on Saturday afternoon, June
19, in his home. Mr. Arnett was born on May 8, 1938, in Waterloo,
Ala., to Grover and Stella (Harrison) Arnett, and had
lived in this area since the age of 3. He was preceded in death
by his father, Grover Arnett; and by a grandson, Mark Douglas Polston,
Jr., in 1984. He retired from the Kroger Corporation where he had
been employed in the produce department, and was working part-
time with the Sears & Roebuck Automotive Department. On June
6, 1959, in Mishawaka, Ind., he married Linda K. Bach, who
survives. He is also survived by his mother, Stella Arnett of
Mishawaka; three daughters and their husbands, Debbie (Mike) Wolf,
Lori (Mark) Polston and Dianna (Mark) Lawson, all of Elkhart,
Ind.; five grandchildren, Derek Polston, Doug Polston, Matt
Polston, Josh Polston and Kaylee Wolf, all of Elkhart; four
sisters, Mary Otott of Vista, Calif., Hazel Mohns of
Germantown, Wis., Dorothy Wolfe of South Bend and Janet Wappenstein
of Portage, Mich.; and by a brother, Charles Arnett of
Huntington, Conn. Mr. Arnett was a member of the Retail Clerks
Union, and served in the United States Navy. He was a 1958
graduate of Mishawaka High School.
Services for Mr. Arnett will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 1109 Lincoln Way West, Osceola. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home.
