Robert D. Arndt, 60, of Ardmore Trail, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Monday, April 14, in his residence.
He was born on March 26, 1943, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Robert W. and Dorothy (Rosenaugle) Arndt, who preceded him in death.
On Feb. 27, 1965, in Chicago, Ill., he married Virginia "Red" McKenzie, who survives.
Surviving him is his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Mary (Christopher) Sabatino of Waitoma, Wis., and Kimberly Wright of South Bend; two sons, John (Kelly) Arndt of Chicago and Robert M. (Christina) Arndt of Plainfield, Ill.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Laughman, Pat Baxter and Susan Singleton, all of South Bend; and by seven brothers, Ken Arndt, Walter Arndt, Michael Arndt, Ronald Arndt, Roland Arndt, Emery Arndt and Frank Arndt, all of South Bend.
Robert was a truck driver with Steel Warehouse. He belonged to the Teamsters Local 364 and the Ardmore Wesleyan Church.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
