Mrs. Otis Armentrout
Mrs. Minerva Armentrout, 72, of 55451
Meadowview Ave., died at 9 a.m. today in Healthwin Hospital after
an extended illness. She was born on Sept. 12, 1899, in
Denham, Ind. and had lived in South
Bend most of her life.
As Minerva McCarty, she was married to Otis
Armentrout, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Otis
Jr. of Rolling Prairie; three daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Kepplin of
South Bend, Mrs. Velma Sample of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Ethel Thoms
of Unity, Wis.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four
brothers, Jack and David McCarty, both of Alsip, Ill. Harry
McCarty of Blue Island, Ill., and John McCarty of Detroit, and
four sisters, Mrs. Rose McMahon of La Crosse, Wis., Mrs. Susan
Thoms, and Mrs. Mary Thoms, both of Alsip, and Mrs. Ruth Edmonson
of Blue Island.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the
Hickey Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way W. where services will be
held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant
Cemetery.
