SOUTH BEND - Angela Arch, 88, passed away in her sleep at
her home in South Bend on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008. Angie was
married for 67 years to devoted and surviving husband Steve
"Pete" Arch, and is also survived by a son, Steve Arch
Jr.; daughter, Judith and husband, Lawrence Cox;
grandchildren, Pamela and husband, Michael Wince, Daniel
and wife, Heather Cox; great-grandchildren, Gavin Wince and
Parker Cox; a brother, Michael Pasalich; and
sisters-in-law, Lillian Pasalich and Mitzi Pasalich. Angela was
born on November 14, 1919, in Charles City, Iowa, to Trifko and
Stephanie (Atelevich) Pasalich. She retired in 1986 from
the South Bend Community School Corporation. On November 2, 1940,
in South Bend, as Angela Pasalich, she married Steve Arch Sr.
Mrs. Arch was preceded in death by her parents, and by three
brothers, Novak Pasalich, Walter Pasalich and Melvin Pasalich.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S.
Kemble Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m.,
with entombment following at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Indiana University
Simon Cancer Center Research Fund, 1110 West Michigan Street, LO
506, Indianapolis, IN 46202-5100.
