Helen Margaret Archambault, 80, of
Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of South Bend and New Carlisle, Ind.,
died on Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Health South Hospital-Tenaya, Las
Vegas. She had lived at Chicago Trail Village for the past
several years until recently, moving to Las Vegas. Helen was born
Sept. 12, 1922, in Brems, Ind., to Harvey William and Gertrude
Violia (Allen) Shei.
On Nov. 21, 1940, she married Matthew Hagedorn,
who died in World War II. She was preceded in death by a brother,
Carl Shei; and by two sisters, Mary Farling and
Ielene Higgenbothan. On March 21, 1946, in Granger, Ind.,
she married Cletus B. Archambault, who also preceded her
in death Nov. 22, 1981. The couple resided in Roseland all their
life. Helen was employed for many years as assistant innkeeper at
the Holiday Inn in Roseland.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Carl
Archambault of St. Joseph, Mich., Cletus B. Archambault of
Arlington Heights, Ill., and James M. Archambault of Las Vegas;
and by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren from South
Bend, Louisville, Ky., and Las Vegas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033
Cleveland Road, with Rev. Edgar D. Erskin officiating. Burial
will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle. Friends may
call from 11 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American
Lung Association.
