MISHAWAKA - Lucille L. Apple, 88, of 212 St. Lo Ave., died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Healthwin Hospital and Nursing Home, South Bend. Mrs. Apple was born Oct. 1, 1905, in Champaign, Ill.

On Jan. 22, 1929, in LaPorte, as Lucille L. Freshwater, she married Alfred J. Apple. He died in 1988. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Annelle Wyatt of Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Frances Musser of Mishawaka; a niece, Sandra Hamman of Mishawaka; and a nephew, Edmund Wolford of Colorado.

Private services were held today in Bubb Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
