David Lee Appel, 57, of Fieldstone
Lane, Granger, Ind., died on Friday, June 4, 1999.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1942, in St. Louis,
Mo. He is survived by his wife, Judi (Risak) Appel; a
daughter, Deborah A. Appel of South Bend, Ind.; two sons, David
L. Appel, Jr., of South Bend and Michael J. Appel of Granger;
three brothers, Robert of Ferguson, Mo., Donald of Scottsdale,
Ariz., and Gary of San Jose, Calif.; and by his mother, Virginia
Lee (Pointer) Appel of St. Louis.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m.
on Thursday, June 17, in the College of Business Administration
on the Notre Dame campus. A memorial reception will follow from 5
to 7 p.m. to honor the memory of David Lee Appel at the
University Club of Notre Dame, on Notre Dame Avenue at the south
entrance to the Notre Dame campus. All friends are invited to
attend. Memorials may be made to the Logan Center, 1235 N. Eddy
Street, South Bend, IN 46617; or to the Alzheimer's Disease and
Related Disorders Association of Northern Indiana, 425 N.
