LAKEVILLE - Mabel Marie Annis, 83, of 65406 U.S. 31, died at 8 a.m. Friday in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa. Mrs. Annis was born Oct. 14, 1910, in St. Joseph County, Ind.

On April 20, 1929, in Lakeville, as Mabel Marie Hygema, she married Louis A. Annis. He died Nov. 18, 1993. Surviving are two sons, Louis A. Jr. of South Bend and Nelson E. of Lakeville; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Treva Hoffman and Erma Miller, both of South Bend, and Fern Feitz of Bremen; and a brother, Donald Hygema of Bremen. She was a member of Lakeville United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee. Friends may call from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
