SOUTH BEND - Richard L. Andrysiak,
69, of 61460 Elderberry Lane, died at 12:32 p.m. Sunday in Memorial
Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Andrysiak retired from Shippers
Dispatch as vice president of traffic and from Taylor Heavy
Hauling.
He was born March 10, 1924, in South
Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Aug. 24, 1957, in South
Bend, he married Margaret A. Kipp. She survives with a daughter,
Mary Andrysiak of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Delores
Jozwiak of South Bend and Dorothy Mathieson of Hampton, Ill.; and
a brother, Irvin of New Carlisle. He was a veteran of World War
II and the Korean War. He was past president of South Bend
Transportation Club, vice chairman and director of Central States
Motor Freight Bureau, member of Delta Nu Alpha Transportation
Fraternity, American Legion Pulaski Post 357 and American
Association of Retired Persons. He was a graduate of the former
South Bend College of Commerce and College of Advanced Traffic, Chicago.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday in St. Jude's Catholic Church. Entombment will be in
the mausoleum of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9
p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish rosary
will be said at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the
church building fund.
