SOUTH BEND - Alice S. (Sinkiewicz) Andrysiak, 78, of 1717 Eagle Point Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, in the home of her daughter, Alexandria Schulz. Mrs. Andrysiak was born March 5, 1918, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She was an employee of the South Bend Community School Corporation.

She was married on June 8, 1940, in South Bend, as Alice S. Grzesiak to Walter Sinkiewicz, who preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1966. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Carrie Grzesiak. Mrs. Andrysiak is survived by two daughters, Alexandria Schulz and Linda Higdon, both of South Bend; three sons, Carl and Richard Sinkiewicz, both of Merrillville, Ind., and Robert Sinkiewicz of Atlanta, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eugenia Wonisch of South Bend. A brother, Matthew Grzesiak, also preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1993.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be said at 5:30.
