SOUTH BEND - Viola C. Andrews, 70, of 2614 Grace St., died at 6 p.m. Friday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Andrews retired as a nurse's aide for Ridgedale Nursing Home after 10 years. She was born July 22, 1925, in Grand Rapids.
On July 2, 1948, in South Bend, as Viola C. Wickizer, she married Robert Boles. He died May 8, 1976. On Jan. 13, 1979, in South Bend, she married Richard P. Andrews. He survives with four daughters, Brenda Goodin of Reddick, Ill., Juanita Donihue of South Bend, Deborah Griffith of Martinsville, Ill., and Becky Curtis of Granger; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Lydia Harlin of Mishawaka and Ruth Johnson of South Bend; and a brother, George W. Wickizer of Crescent City, Calif. A grandson, Steven Goodin, preceded her in death. She was a member of Apostolic Temple.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
