Myrtle V. Andrews, 98, of Bremen Health Care Center, Bremen, Ind., passed away at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in the Bremen Health Care Center. Born November 27, 1897, in Milwaukee, Wis., Myrtle had lived in the South Bend area most of her life.
On October 3, 1932, in Mishawaka, as Myrtle V. Place, she married Harley O. Andrews, who preceded her in death in 1972. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Andrews of South Bend and Gloria Gaut of Bremen, Ind; six sons, William of Denver, Colo., Richard of South Bend, Russell of Elkhart, Lloyd of Mishawaka, Byron of Estes Park, Colo., and Walter of Argos, Ind. There are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Winifred Madlem and six sons, Harley, John, George, Charles, Norman and Robert, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, in the Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m., today, in the funeral home. Myrtle was a member of Apostolic Temple in which memorial contributions can be made.
