Jack E. Andrews, 75, Indianapolis, formerly of South Bend, died Aug. 3. He was an Electronic Technician for 50 years working at Alpha Electronics, Berry's TV and Radio Equipment, retiring in 2000. He was a graduate of DeVry Technical Institute. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served on the USS Twining. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War, both in South Bend. He was also a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge in South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, August 6, 2002, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
He was the son of Rex E. and Myrtle M. Andrews; widower of Betty J. Andrews. Survivors: son, David E. Andrews; grandson, Derek E. Andrews, both of Greenwood, IN; brothers, Donald L. of Manton, MI, Harold G. of Elkhart; sisters, Mrs. William (Betty J.) Dunnuck of Elkhart, Dorothy M. Elston of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Mrs. Richard (Beverly J.) Johnson of Lansing, MI.
