SOUTH BEND - Harley E. Andrews Sr. 77, of 1651 Altgeld St., died at 2 p.m. Friday in his home after an illness. Mr. Andrews retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. in 1978. He was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Cairo, Ill., living most of his life in South Bend. On June 15, 1941, in Kilgore, Texas, he married Martha Faye Ford. She survives, with a daughter, Francile Switalski of Mishawaka; a son, Harley E. ''Corky'' Jr. of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Myrtle Andrews of South Bend; three sisters, Margaret M. Andrews and Winifred I. Madlem, both of South Bend, and Gloria M. Gaut of Bremen; six brothers, William F. of Denver, Walter J. of Culver, Richard P. of South Bend, Russell H. of Elkhart, Lloyd P. of Mishawaka and Byron K. of Estes Park, Colo. He was a member of Apostolic Temple.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the church retirement village.

SOUTH BEND - Services for Harley E. Andrews Sr., 77, of Altgeld Street, who died at 2 p.m. Friday in his home after an illness, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the mausoleum chapel at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Osceola, where burial will follow. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Temple Retirement Village.
