SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Neta Ann Andert,
68, formerly of 1308 Byron, died at 1:20 Friday in the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Nyerges, 1404 Oakdale, after
an illness. Born on Oct 13, 1906 in Grand Traverse, Mich., she
had lived here 65 years coming from Gran Traverse.
On Aug. 13, 1923 as Neta Ann Jones,
she married John H. Andert, who died Aug. 17, 1970. Surviving
beside the daughter are two sons, John F., a sergeant in the
police department, and Robert of South Bend; five grandchildren,
and two brothers Norman Cook of South Bend and Neal Cook of
Bradenton, Fla.
Service will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Our Lady
of Hungary Catholic Church. Rev. Philip Corbett, assistant
pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m.
Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be
recited at 7:30 p.m. today by the Legion of Mary of the church.
Mrs. Andert was a member of the German Club Auxiliary.
