SOUTH BEND - Helen Andert, 82, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, formerly of South Kendall Street, died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Andert retired from Memorial Hospital as a clerical worker.

She was born June 25, 1913, in South Bend. On Nov. 18, 1933, in South Bend, as Helen Illes, she married Frank M. Andert. He died Feb. 1, 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Arlene Simala of South Bend; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Clara Van Dervort of Reno, Nev.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Zahoran Funeral Home. (nf)
