Anderson, 84, of East 4th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away
after an illness at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, in the
Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind.
Richard was born on July 27, 1916,
in Locust Grove, Okla., and had resided in this area the past 50
years. He retired in 1981 after 32 years from the Uniroyal
Corporation. Richard was a member of the East United Methodist Church,
the Uniroyal Management Club, and was a woodworking craftsman. He
was also a Navy veteran of World War II.
On April 9, 1939, in Sacramento, Ky.,
Richard married Emma Lou Prather, who survives. He is also
survived by two daughters, Kay Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz., and
Gay Kyle of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Greg Carrico, Ed
Carrico, Suzanne Kyle and Rich Kyle; three great-grandchildren,
Kelly Carrico, Nick Kyle and Morgan Kyle; a sister, Lucille
Hardin of Kentucky; and by a brother, W.K. Anderson of Everett,
Wash.
There won't be any services or
visitation.

be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 425 N. Michigan Street, South
Bend, IN 46601.
