Fern Weller Anderson, 100, of Lafayette, IN, formerly of Koontz Lake, IN, passed away December 22, 2001, at 3:15 p.m. at Regency Place, Lafayette, IN, after an illness. Fern was born March 6, 1901, in Koontz Lake, IN, to Fred and Nora (Uncapher) Awald, and lived in the Koontz Lake area most of her life.

On August 22, 1918, in St. Joseph, MI, she was married to Rolland H. Weller, who preceded her in death in 1934. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Fred Weller; one daughter, Virginia Weller; and a brother, Ward Awald. Surviving are one daughter, Betty Godfrey of Lafayette, IN; one son, Gilbert Weller of Rochester, IN; one half brother, Robert Awald of Walkerton; one half sister, Hazel Schweder of Walkerton, IN; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 P.M. EST at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, with Pastor Brian Baughman officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may call 4 - 8 P.M. EST today and Thursday 9 A.M. until the time of services in the funeral home.
