Emma Lou Anderson

Emma Lou Anderson, 78, of East 4th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 7:37 a.m. Thursday at Countryside Place, after an illness. Emma Lou was born in Slaughters, Ky., on September 18, 1922, and had resided in this area the past 50 years. She retired in 1980 from motel management, after 20 years of service. She was a member of East United Methodist Church.

On April 9,1937, in Sacremento, Ky., Emma Lou Prather, married Richard M. Anderson, he passed away Aug. 10, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Grace Prather; and a son, Richard M. Anderson II on June 29, 1991; and a grandson, Bill Carrico on April 27, 1990. Surviving are two daughters, Kay Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Gay Kyle of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Suzanne Kyle of Indianapolis, Ind., Rich Kyle of Spartanberg, S.C., Greg Carrico and Ed Carrico, both of Arizona; three great-grandchildren, Kelly Carrico of DeRidder, La., Nick Kyle and Morgan Kyle, both of Spartanberg, S.C.

There will be no services or visitation. Memorials may be made to East United Methodist Church. The Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, is handling the arrangements.
