WALKERTON - Dorothy D. Anderson, 94, of Walkerton, IN, passed away at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, April 4th, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, of natural causes. Mrs. Andersen was born on April 15, 1912, in Kingsbury, IN, and resided in the Michiana area her lifetime.

As Dorothy D. Collings she married Marion M. Anderson who preceded her in death on November 20,1997. Dorothy is survived by a son, Terry L. (Mary) Anderson of Schoolcraft, Michigan; four grandchildren, Mark Anderson, Timothy Beagles, Laura Anderson Zemek and Scott Beagles who she loved and cherished; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and her daughter, Joan E. Beagles on November 22, 1997. Dorothy was an avid sports fan, loving her basketball and baseball. She loved crocheting, sewing and gardening. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always placed her family above all. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and all who knew her in her life journey. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

The family request's that all memorial contributions be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc, 111 Sunnybrook Court South Bend, IN 46637. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9th, in Hanley & Sons Funeral Home "Walkerton Chapel" located at 1216 Roosevelt Road Walkerton, IN. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 10th, in the funeral home. Pastor Gene Collings is officiating with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery Walkerton. The HANLEY & Sons Funeral Home "Walkerton Chapel" handled arrangements and services and extend deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Anderson family.
