SOUTH BEND – Services for Bessie E. Anderson, 97, of 301 E. Ewing Avenue, who died about 12:15 a.m. Sunday in St. Paul’s Retirement Community will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Guisinger Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. She was born June 4, 1892 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 2, 1913, in South Bend, she married David Anderson. He died Jan. 17, 1946. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Pletcher of Vandalia and Betty Barnhart of Hammond; two sons, Fred of Clearwater, Fla., and Wayne of South Bend; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Four sons, Robert, David Jr., Stanley and Paul preceded her in death.
