Margaret Ameigh, 84, of LaGrange,
Ind., formerly of Prescott Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away
on Sunday morning, Sept. 17, in Lifecare Center, LaGrange. She
was born on May 4, 1916 in Bremen, Ind., to the late George Morehouse
and Eva Grunawalt.
On Nov. 7, 1936, in South Bend she married
James L. Ameigh, who passed away in 1993. She is survived by her
daughters, Sandra (Duane) Eslinger of South Bend, Jeanette
(John) Klatt of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Christine (Eli) Kinsinger
of LaGrange, and Louise (Bob) Scott of South Bend; two
sons, Jerry (Dottie) Ameigh of Indianapolis, Ind. and James L.
(Sue) Ameigh III of Cassopolis, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; 31
great- grandchildren; and by four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs.
Ameigh retired from the St. Joseph County Auditors Office in 1978
after 20 years of service. She was a former member of the Clay
Democratic Club.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on
Thursday, Sept. 21, in the WELSHEIMER NORTH FUNERAL
HOME, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Pastor Robert Beyler of Gospel Center officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 20, in the funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
