MISHAWAKA Antonio Amaral, 64,
of 313 W. 8th Street, died at 7:45 a.m. today in St. Joseph
Hospital after an illness of five years. Born in Freixiosa,
Portugal he had lived in Mishawaka for 33 years, after coming
here from his native land.
On Oct. 25, 1914 in Freixiosa he married
Mary Calixal, who survives. He was employed by Studebaker
Corp., South Bend until five years ago. Surviving besides his
widow are three sons, Daniel and Annibal at home, and Joseph of
Mishawaka; two daughters, Mrs. James Ealy of Mishawaka and
Mrs. George Wiekizer of South Bend; four granddaughters
and five grandsons.
Friends may call at the DeVos Chapel after 7
p.m. today. Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph
Catholic Church. Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A, Suelzer, pastor, will
officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Catholic Cemetery. The
rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel.
